Mid-week Inspiration: Illustrator Jessica Hische

Earlier this week, Illustrator Jessica Hische came up while I was engulfed in trend research and I was amazed at her incredible sense of color, composition and type treatment. Subject matter often includes animals, plants, and patterns, many of which have ironic secondary meanings. Her specialty in hand typography translates beautifully and adds an interesting facet to her work. The style evokes memories of childhood, family dinners and sitting down on a fall night with a cup of tea and a ginger snap. After sifting through all of her work on the website, I have to say, although I am no where close to an illustrator, I was truly inspired by her work and feel that it will definitely influence the Recycling Zychal Spring 2010 Upcycled Umbrella Product Line.

Here are a few of my favorites, I hope they inspire you as well!
